Hinduism is a rich tapestry of religious, philosophical, and cultural traditions that have their roots in India.
Om or Aum:
The Om, or Aum, is one of the most revered symbols in Hinduism. It consists of three Sanskrit letters, which together form the syllable Om, pronounced as a-u-m.
These sounds represent several significant triads: the three realms of earth, atmosphere, and heaven, as well as the three principal Hindu deities.
Om is considered the most sacred mantra and is often seen at the beginning of sacred texts, worn as pendants, and placed in temples and household shrines.
Swastika:
The Swastika, though resembling the infamous Nazi symbol, holds profound religious importance in Hinduism. It is depicted as a cross with arms bent at right angles, facing clockwise.
The term "Swastika" comes from the ancient Indian language of Sanskrit and translates to "being happy."
In Indian culture, it is associated with good fortune and well-being, symbolizing prosperity and movement in life.
