Islam Symbols

Islam, a religion that originated in Arabia, was revealed to humanity by the Prophet Muhammad.

While there are no official religious symbols in Islam, several symbols hold special significance in the Islamic tradition.

Star and Crescent:

The star and crescent are among the most recognized symbols associated with Islam. Originally a polytheistic emblem, this symbol was adopted during the spread of Islam.

Its use today can be controversial within the Muslim community. Historians note that the star and crescent were more closely associated with the Ottoman Empire rather than Islam as a whole.

"Allah" in Arabic:

The word "Allah" written in Arabic script is often used as a visual representation of Islam.

This script symbolizes the central tenet of the Islamic faith: the belief in one God.
